Greetings from Kungsholmen, Sthlm
Springsteen. Gbg!!!
Pojkar pojkar pojkar här kommer ett hundår till

Dear,
Things are going well in Sthlm right now. I've just started rehearsing with a group of people that will be able to do something really special. I've picked up playing the drums for the first time in years so my hands are filled with blisters and band aids. In a couple of weeks I'll be doing some rehearsals with a small group of people that I want to play Parker Lewis-songs with in the beginning of next year. I guess I'll talk more about that later on.
As you might have guessed the EP is delayed in sweden. There are many reasons for this, the main one that I want to release my music in the best possible way with people I can trust and those people are not always the people with the biggest budget. The important thing is that it's going to turn out the way I want it to and I really hope that people will agree with me on that one.
2008 really has the potential of becoming the best year ever, as far as music goes. There's so many things I would like to tell you and so many songs I would like for you to hear. But I'll save them all for 2008.

Things for you to do:
Decibelle in X-Mas Carol, NYC (soon on madforit.se)
Roy Andersson - Du Levande
Woody Allen - Cassandra's Dream
Don Rosa
Gene
I like that a lot of the artists I really love often have very un-artistic reasons for their art. Like Gene Kelly who said that he discovered girls when he was fourteen and realised that the only way of getting close to girls was to start dancing so he could put his arm around them. Or that Marlon Brando said that acting is the easiest and most well paid way of surviving while you try to think about what to actually do with your life. Or how Broder Daniel always said that writing pop music is the easiest way of cheating the system. I guess that these are all just witty white lies. Ways for them to be humble about what they're doing. I have to come up with something like that as well.
I'm back in sweden now by the way. And I guess it's the first time that I really appreciate the fall and how beautiful this country gets when there's no snow and no surferdudes roaming the streets of stockholm in multicolored flower power-shorts. It's very romantic.

That space is not mine any more.
Right now I'm going through the endless "Sorry, an unexpected error has occured"-marathon that comes from deleting everything that was on my myspace-page. Everything but a note telling people I've moved out and that they can get anything they want from me all over the internet anyway. And especially here.
I've been thinkin about deleting my myspace for a very long time but since people are always trying to get in touch with me there, and never on my email, it's been a hard decision to make.
When I've listened to music on myspace - or when I've more or less been forced to listen to music on myspace because the myspace-player always starts long before the rest of the page making it impossible to turn the music off - I've realised that whenever I hear that song in another situation it reminds me of myspace. And that's not what I would like to happen when people are listening to my music. It's just too much hard work for me making my songs that I don't want people to visualise something ugly when they listen to them.
Instead I suggest that you think about the view from my rooftop:
Just keep watching it while listening to Disappear Here and eventually I think that your bad memories of myspace will disappear.
You will find downloads in pretty good quality all over the internet. Every single song that has ever been released as an mp3 by Parker Lewis. Just google it or make a search on http://hypem.com/
From now on and until further notice, please do send me emails to parkerlewis@mail.com or post comments right here, in this blog. I will be updating it a lot more in the future. And there will be a new homepage for Parker coming up as soon as possible.

New York is treating me really nice. Some weeks are just lost in a haze of crazy things happening all the time and some weeks (like this one) I'm very disciplined, working on new songs. Hopefully these sketches I make right now will turn into an album some time next year. Or the year after that. Who knows?
Nice things have been said by a couple of blogs about the Cloudberry-release and it feels really nice to actually know that it's finally out there, more than eight months after i finished it.
The swedish release of Written and Directed by Parker Lewis is set sometime this fall. We're working things out. It'll contain four songs instead of three and I'll probably post some other new stuff that you've never heard before by the end of this year.
Please, do not make my profile views on myspace reach more than 10.000. There's no way that I can disappear here.

My Baby Just Cares for NYC

Dearest,
Sorry for the long silence.
I'm in New York now. I'm not going to make a fool out of myself talking about how much I like it here. I've been here for three weeks soon and I'll be staying here for a couple of months and when I get home to Sweden it'll probably be some kind of disgusting semi-winter there.
My new EP will be released as a single on Cloudberry Records (www.cloudberryrecords.com) this friday (The 21st of September) and in a month or so the real EP will be released through the pine fresh label Mad For It (www.madforit.se) in Sweden.
I might be doing at least one show here in NYC before I go home, I'm trying to get my shit together for something like that. In any case we'll throw a party on my rooftop this weekend to celebrate the release of the single. And you're all welcome. Send and email (parker@madforit.se) and I'll give you directions.
Love
Parker
I believe I stand right at the top without you.

Come on come on please shake me (Like a boy band on E)
"The impression was that they were to Modena more in gita scholastic, than in order to play to a festival: means sbronzi, one of they, Kalle J, whose only task, for first the live, is to strike the hands, the counterpart of Gary engaged Barlow sudare, and a third party, more sbronzo, on which behind of me they took bets on the exact timetable of the collapse. All that, under the name, exactly, of ' Parker Lewis'. As far as music, than to say, it has seemed to feel to me, for an hour, one series of rivisitazioni of ' Last Christmas', of the Wham." - Davide Cunsolo (www.indie-rock.it)
Kalle J - Gary Barlow? Aw! Come on. Gary Barlow is chubby!
